Project Number 1180172 Title ABC Waters Project at Bukit Batok West Outlet Drain and Sungei Whampoa Description Under the Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters (ABC Waters) Programme, a section of Bukit Batok West Outlet Drain from Bukit Batok West Ave 8 to PIE will undergo a makeover where a new lookout deck and lawn area will be developed to create additional communal spaces for community bonding. In the same contract, a section of Sungei Whampoa between St George’s Blk 4B to Serangoon Road will be enhanced with lush greenery and improved connectivity along the waterway. A new plaza and shelter will create more gathering spaces for community interaction. ABC Waters design features such as rain gardens will be designed to be integrated with the urban landscapes at both sites. These natural cleansing features will cleanse the rainwater runoff before it is discharged into the waterways.
